MSI

MSI CG290-S3063

S3063G290RAU4

A single-socket 2U MGX system for up to four accelerators. The smallest rack machine here, for inference and edge deployment rather than training.

Overview

One Intel Xeon 6500P or 6700P with 136 PCIe lanes, seven PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and up to four H200 NVL or RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell cards, in 2U.

This is an inference and edge machine, and it is worth being clear that it is not a training node. Four accelerators without NVLink between them will not hold a model that the eight-GPU systems hold, and one socket means less host throughput to feed them. What it does instead is fit into two rack units, draw far less, and cost proportionally less to run.

Four rear hot-swap U.2 NVMe bays and (2+2) 2400W Titanium supplies. The rear drive placement is worth checking against your rack layout before ordering, because it assumes rear access that a wall-mounted or shallow cabinet may not have.
