The CG480 with the cluster fabric built in: eight 400G QSFP ports on NVIDIA ConnectX-8, at the cost of four expansion slots.
Mechanically the CG480-S6053 with one deliberate trade. Eight 400G QSFP ports on NVIDIA ConnectX-8 chipsets are integrated, and the slot count drops from thirteen to nine as a result.
That is the right trade for a node destined for a cluster. Fabric adapters that would otherwise consume four slots are already on the board, so the nine remaining slots are available for accelerators rather than being spent getting the accelerators talking to each other.
It is the only machine in this group with PCIe 6.0 slots. For a node being specified now against a five year life, that is worth knowing even if nothing in the current catalogue needs the bandwidth yet.
