SYS-822GS-NB3RT
8x HGX B300 / 2.3TB HBM3e / 8x 800GbE
Supermicro
AS-8126GS-NB3RT
The AMD EPYC counterpart to the 822GS. The same eight HGX B300 GPUs in the same 8U chassis, with far more CPU cores and fewer memory slots.
Mechanically this is the same machine as the SYS-822GS: the same chassis, the same eight HGX B300 GPUs with 2.3TB of HBM3e, the same eight 800GbE ports. The difference is entirely on the host side.
Dual AMD EPYC 9005 or 9004 processors reach up to 384 cores and 768 threads against 172 threads on the Intel version, and support up to 500W TDP. Memory runs the other way: 24 DIMM slots to a maximum of 6TB, where the Intel machine has 32 slots and reaches 8TB.
So choosing between the two is a host-side question, not an accelerator one. Heavy data preparation, many concurrent dataloaders or CPU-bound preprocessing favour the EPYC core count. A working set that has to stay resident in system memory favours the Intel machine. We will ask which of those describes your workload before recommending either, because on the GPU side there is nothing to choose between them.
